Alumni Game

The Walton Soccer Alumni game is scheduled for June 5th at 5:00 pm on the upper field.

Playoffs

Congratulations to the Lady Raiders on a great season.  Although it ended sooner than we had hoped, the girls played hard all season and fell just short of reaching the final.  There’s always next year!

Walton Soccer Scholarship

Seniors, please fill out the Walton Soccer Scholarship Applications if you are interested in participating. Each year a scholarship of $500.00 is awarded to two senior players; one from the men’s team and one from the women’s.

This year a member from the Men’s team will be the recipient of the Nale Scholarship Award. A generous annual gift from the Nale family in memory of their son, Tim, who was a Walton Soccer Player. A representative from our Women’s team will be awarded a scholarship from the Walton Soccer Booster Club.

Your forms need to be turned into school by April 30th. Drop them off at the front desk. Make sure they are clearly marked for the soccer program.

Letter to parents from Coach Boozer and Coach Wade!

A reminder to all parents

We are in 5 A Classification which is the highest classification in Georgia.

We will be competing against top soccer athletes. Many schools that we compete against have it as a requirement that if a student athlete is participating in a sport the player is automatically enrolled in a weight training or physical enhancement class. When we encourage our players to sign up for weight training or complex training, we often get the following response;” my parents won’t let me take the PE classes, they say I need other electives” I hope that this is not the case but the fact is we have few of our soccer players taking either weight training or complex training. Coach Evans teaches a weight training class before school as a zero period class, the cost is $125.00. So there is no excuse!! Soccer is a demanding game physically, many of our players are NOT physically strong or quick enough to compete at the high levels. I am putting this to you now because registration for next years classes is Monday and Tuesday 3/8 and 3/9.

Thanks BBooze
