2012 Women’s Soccer Tryout Results

Thank you to everyone for trying out this year and Congratulations to the following:

Girls Varsity:

Both teams will practice tomorrow at 4:00pm. Please meet Coach Loughran in her room at 4:00pm.

Tryouts-Update for Monday, 1-23-12

Weather permitting……….tryouts for Monday, January 23, 2012 are as follows:

All tryouts will be on the stadium field (Raider Valley) as the lower fields are closed.

All Girls:  3:45pm – 5:30pm

Freshman and Sophomore Boys: 3:45pm – 5:30pm.

Junior and Senior Boys: 5:30pm – 7:00pm. 

Please check back for updates.  Students can check the soccer board at school.

Clean-Up Day Postponed to 1-28-12

Our scheduled Raider Valley Clean-Up day will be posponed until January, 28 2012 due to weather. Mark your calendars for next Saturday, 10:00am.

DSA Training moved to Sports A Rama today 1/17/2012

DSA Training Today (Tuesday January 17th) has been moved to Sports A Rama. 4:15 and 5:00 sessions. Sports A Rama is located in the Fountains of Olde Towne Shopping center at:

Mandatory Player Meeting – 1/18/2012

There will be a brief meeting this Wednesday (1/18/2012) for all soccer players trying out for the 2012 season.

Meeting Place: Blue Bleachers above gym
Meeting Time: 7:50am or 3:35pm

Soccer Tryouts – January 23rd

Tryouts for the 2012 Walton Soccer teams will begin on Monday, January 23rd, 3:45pm.   Please check the “soccer board” (usually across from Raider Joes) or this website for any time and/or location changes.

Boys: Stadium Field
Girls: Lower Field

What to Wear: 

• NO CLUB GEAR.  We are WALTON RAIDERS now!
• white T-Shirt
• any color shorts
• warm-ups for outside training 
• SHIN GUARDS
• soccer socks
• soccer cleats (turf shoes are fine if playing on the Stadium Field)
• indoor training shoes (flats) incase of inclement weather
• rain gear

Walton will provide water, cups, balls, cones, pennies

All PHYSICALS must be in on January 17, 2012.  Go to East Cobb Urgent Care and tell them you are with Walton Soccer and you will get a reduced rate!

Physical Evaluation Forms Due January 17th

All student’s participating in soccer tryouts for the 2012 season will need to have a completed and signed Physical Evaluation Form submitted by January 17th, 2012.  The forms can be picked up in the Walton front office and returned to the front office, attention Coach Morris.  The Physical Evalutation Forms at Walton are preferred over the GHSA county forms previously on the website.  Go to East cobb Urgent Care and tell them you are Walton Soccer and you will get a reduced rate.

Reminder: Tryouts are the week of Monday, January 23rd.
