On Friday, May 13th one of Campbell High School’s Varsity soccer players, Salvador Reyes “Chava” #7 sustained a head injury while playing a friendly game of bubble soccer at their end of season celebration. He is in CCU and will remain in the hospital until the swelling in his brain and face goes down prior to reconstructive surgery. He will be in the hospital for many weeks, and the number of surgeries and therapies needed is not yet known. The Reyes family is facing a dire financial situation and a long road to recovery. Many of our boys have played with or know of Sal Reyes. A GoFundMe account has been set up as well as a “used” soccer equipment sale this coming weekend. The GoFundMe goal was set at $5,000 but we have been told that the family will need much, much more than that. Please consider donating.
